Paul’s intuitive and inventive approach to sound design, and his eagerness for experimenting with fresh ways to craft the perfect sound, has resulted in highly realistic soundscapes for radio and television commercials and animated films.
Add to this a keen understanding of dramatic tension and comedic timing and the result is effective communications that have earned him Gold, Silver and Bronze Cannes Lions, D&AD Yellow Pencils, AWARD Awards, MADC Awards, London International Awards and Siren Awards.
They’re just some of the 80+ awards won by commercials and campaigns in which Paul has been involved, leading to invitations for him to judge the Clio, Loerie, Adelaide Advertising & Design Club and New York Festivals awards.
Paul commenced his career in the recording industry in 1993 and, before joining us in mid 2008, spent nine years at Sonovision Studios in South Africa, the last four as managing director.
In the studio, while Paul loves exploring mnemonics and other aural devices for creating memorable soundscapes he also puts the necessary hours into pre-production to ensure each session is productive and enjoyable.
